They are seeking a driven and ambitious Group Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to advance their career towards the role of Financial Controller.

Job Title: Group Management AccountantLocation: West Bromwich (Hybrid 3 -4 days a week on site)

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE

Role Overview:

As the Group Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of management accounting and taking full ownership of the P&L. This includes balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and managing some payroll queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts up to trial balance
  • Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage accruals and prepayments
  • Post journal entries accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to and resolve payroll queries
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Support the Finance team in ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Ideally Fully Qualified or no more than 5 exams left to qualify (having sat an exam recently)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Ambitious and eager to progress towards the role of Financial Controller
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing sector
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
