Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a flexible part-time role? We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in Great Bridge. This role offers flexibility with hours and the potential for a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group Accountant Manager with monthly procedures, including month-end processes, VAT returns, and quarterly management reports across 11 companies.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
  • Complete purchase ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting in the financial accounting system.
  • Collate and submit VAT returns and prepare month-end sales updates.
  • Update cash collection targets for review and monitoring.
  • Analyse and post receipts/payments for monthly credit card statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management charges.
  • Monitor monthly sales for customer rebates and reconcile purchases for supplier rebates.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Prepare monthly bank balance reports.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Experience using SAGE 50 is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Excel with strong data management skills.
  • Experience in general accounting tasks such as nominal, sales, and purchase ledger (preferred).
  • Previous experience in credit control and cash management (preferred).
  • Ability to accurately record and classify fixed assets (preferred).
