Job Overview: Smart Education is recruiting an experienced School Business Manager for a school in West Bromwich. This is a maternity cover role, with immediate start. The successful candidate will have significant experience in a school setting, strong financial acumen, and extensive knowledge of SIMS, with a DBS on the update service.

Key Responsibilities:•    Lead the strategic development of the school’s business, financial, and administrative operations.•    Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to guide school policies and achieve educational objectives.•    Manage and oversee the administrative staff, data management, attendance, facilities, and resources across the four centres.•    Ensure the school operates with the highest business standards, aligning resource use with learning goals.•    Oversee financial and budgetary management, securing external funding for sustainability.•    Provide strategic advice to the Executive Headteacher and Governing Body on operational, financial, and resource management.•    Supervise health and safety standards, including premises maintenance and fire safety, acting as the Senior Fire Marshall.•    Support recruitment, performance management, and professional development for designated staff.•    Attend Governing Body meetings to provide financial reports and strategic insights.

Requirements:•    Proven experience as a School Business Manager or similar role within an educational setting.•    Proficiency in SIMS and financial management systems.•    Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.•    Understanding of financial regulations and compliance within educational environments.•    Current DBS on the update service is essential.
