Role Overview: As a Residential Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in leading the administration, support delivery, and staffing of the home. You will also be responsible for the home’s operations in the manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home Manager in all aspects of home management.
  • Ensure high standards of recording systems and documentation.
  • Manage staff, including supervision, appraisals, and team meetings.
  • Oversee duty rota and ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of young people.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s home.
  • Two years’ recent experience in children’s residential care.
  • Proficiency in therapeutic strategies for young people.
  • Knowledge of Looked After Children (LAC) procedures.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Full manual driver’s licence.
