We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual with experience in CAD/CAM programming and CNC operations, particularly within the sheet metal industry. While preference will be given to candidates proficient in SigmaNest, TruTops, or Radan software, we are open to considering applicants with similar relevant experience. This role requires a combination of office-based drafting and programming work and hands-on shopfloor involvement, including machine setup and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimise CNC programs using SigmaNest, TruTops, Radan, or other CAM software.
Create detailed 2D drafting designs using AutoCAD or similar software for sheet metal projects.
Program, set up, and operate CNC Amada lasers, Trumpf punch turrets, or equivalent machinery.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality outputs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programming or machine operations.
Actively engage on the shopfloor to oversee machine operation and ensure project specifications are met.
Contribute to process improvements aimed at enhancing productivity and product quality.
Requirements:
Experience in CAD/CAM programming with SigmaNest, TruTops, Radan, or equivalent software.
Knowledge of CNC machinery such as Amada lasers, Trumpf punch turrets, or similar equipment.
Proficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting tools.
Previous experience in the sheet metal industry or a related manufacturing environment.
A hands-on approach, with the ability to work both in an office and on the shopfloor.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical or operational challenges.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with additional CAD/CAM software or CNC machinery beyond SigmaNest, TruTops, and Radan.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Technical certifications in CNC programming, sheet metal fabrication, or manufacturing processes.
