Position Overview:
Murray Myers Recruitment is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Technician for one of our top clients in West Bromwich. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled electrical engineering team within an industrial environment at our client's lower-tier COMAH facility.
As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting electrical preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Performing electrical plant installation and modifications.
- Carrying out statutory inspections in compliance with industry regulations.
- Utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for effective task management.
- Interpreting equipment drawings, manuals, and technical information to support maintenance and installation tasks.
- Adhering to company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
- Understanding and applying ATEX requirements (preferred).
Qualifications and Training:
- Minimum RQF Level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline.
- Recognized electrical apprenticeship (preferred).
- 18th edition electrical wiring regulations (preferred).
- Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification (preferred, not essential).
- Training with MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) (preferred).
