Job Title: Tutor (L2 Functional Skills Maths)Pay Rate: £26.62 per hour (+ P & P)Location: West BromwichHours: Flexible (full-time or part-time)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Tutor to join our team to teach Level 2 Functional Skills Maths. This role offers flexibility and the chance to make a significant difference in students' academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality, one-on-one tutoring sessions in Functional Skills Maths at Level 2.
- Plan and customise engaging lessons that align with the Functional Skills curriculum and address the specific needs of each learner.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that motivates and engages students.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents/guardians to share updates on progress.
- Keep detailed records of sessions and student achievements.
- A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent (QTS or relevant experience preferred).
- Proven experience tutoring or teaching Functional Skills Maths, particularly at Level 2.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make Maths accessible and engaging for learners.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for supporting students in achieving their educational goals.
This role offers flexible hours to suit your availability, with both full-time and part-time options available. It includes planning time for each student, ensuring you are fully prepared for sessions.
