Groomfield Recruitmentare seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production planner to join our clients team inWest bromwich. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of production processes by coordinating schedules and optimising resources. This position requires a strong understanding of management, quality control, and continuous improvement within the production area.

Shift-8am-4pm (Must be flexible)

Hourly rate-12.00 - 13.30

Duties

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or production capacity.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet established standards and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the production process and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and other relevant data using appropriate systems.
  • Provide support in assembling mechanical components as required, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production scheduling or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and business operations.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous.
  • Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for understanding assembly processes and equipment functionality.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.
