Job description

We are currently looking for aHealth and Safety Advisorto join my clients growing business. This role is essential in promoting a safe working environment by identifying hazards, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will play a key part in fostering a strong safety culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including conducting root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide training and guidance on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to promote safety awareness among all employees.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices in health and safety management.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a health and safety role is preferred.
  • Strong report writing skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is essential; certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues contributing to incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
