A leading manufacturer and installer of Access Metalwork and Secondary Steelwork is seeking a motivated Junior Tekla Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled individual to develop their career within the steelwork industry, gaining hands-on experience in Tekla Structures and structural design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.
- Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop and refine design solutions.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate steelwork models.
- Ensure all drawings and designs comply with relevant industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Contribute to problem-solving discussions, offering technical support as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for ongoing projects.
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge and experience working within the Steelwork industry, ideally within the Access Metalwork sector.
- Experience working with CAD software, training will be issued with Tekla.
- Basic knowledge of steel fabrication and secondary steelwork detailing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Knowledge of UK construction and steelwork standards is desirable.
