A leading manufacturer and installer of Access Metalwork and Secondary Steelwork is seeking a motivated Junior Tekla Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled individual to develop their career within the steelwork industry, gaining hands-on experience in Tekla Structures and structural design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop and refine design solutions.
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate steelwork models.
  • Ensure all drawings and designs comply with relevant industry standards and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to problem-solving discussions, offering technical support as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven knowledge and experience working within the Steelwork industry, ideally within the Access Metalwork sector.
  • Experience working with CAD software, training will be issued with Tekla.
  • Basic knowledge of steel fabrication and secondary steelwork detailing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
  • Knowledge of UK construction and steelwork standards is desirable.
