Our client based in Oldbury are a forward-thinking family business who are looking for a Stores Person who can work in the warehouse, liaise with carriers for collection/ deliveries and customers on the trade counter.Employee Benefits:

Job Responsibilities of the Stores person:
  • Unloading deliveries from delivery vehicles and assisting delivery of goods to their correct storage locations
  • Restocking shelves
  • Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
  • Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
  • Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
  • Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
  • Picking & Packing Customer orders, using Scanners, barcodes and serial numbers to locate the correct items to ensuring prompt and secure delivery and inventory is managed correctly.
  • Booking transport for the collection, delivery and tracking of customer orders.
  • Kit Building, assembling a range of components into kit parts.
  • Assisting with Goods In, confirming everything received was correct and in good order, quality control and repackaging, adhering to operation controls, rules and schedules
  • Dealing with customer collections on the trade counter
Job Requirements for the Stores person:
  • Looking for a long-term career, to learn and develop in the role.
  • You must be reliable, committed, polite, friendly and a team-player with a willing attitude.
  • Physical strength, fitness and dexterity is important, as you will often have to lift heavy packages or work at elevated heights - weight of the products are roughly around 5 kilos to 40 kilos (2 person lifts and lifting equipment available for heavy items).
  • Excellent team-working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the warehouse team and support in different departments - ability to collaborate with cross functioning teams.
  • Willing attitude to help with other areas of the business that might not typically be your responsibility.
  • Forklift experience would be an advantage.
  • Full driving licence an advantage
