Hours:  Monday- Friday

Salary: Up to 80k DOE

An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Managerto join our client’s successful team in West Bromwich.

Our client is a national UK bakery based at the very heart of communities across the UK. They have one of the best safety performance records in the industry & know that the success of their business depends on  having the right people on the team.

They are a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week, 364-day a year business. Every day their fleet drivers leave their 8 bakeries and 6 designated depots to deliver freshly baked bread and bakery goods to thousands of stores the length and breadth of the country – all in time for breakfast.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Influence and guide a skilled manufacturing team to deliver excellence across productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Operational Impact: Partner with engineering and technical managers to enhance food safety, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Professional Growth: Work on impactful regional and national initiatives, gaining exposure to a matrix organisation committed to best practices.
  • Networking: Build relationships across the business and contribute to a high-performing culture that drives operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to cultivate a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Inspire and develop operational teams, ensuring they meet and exceed KPIs in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Continuously improve product quality and manufacturing practices, developing initiatives that optimise performance and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate across functions to implement national projects, sharing best practices for enhanced site and group performance.
  • Actively contribute to the site and regional management teams, working towards shared goals and strategic outcomes.
