As a Field Forklift Engineer you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of forklifts across a variety of industries. Your expertise will ensure that our clients’ equipment operates safely and efficiently, allowing them to meet their operational needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected company in the forklift hire industry, providing top-tier service and keeping equipment running smoothly in the field.Key Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of forklifts on-site at client locations.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service details.
  • Be proactive in identifying potential issues to minimize downtime for customers.
  • Manage a well-organized van stock and ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Field Forklift Engineer or similar role within the material handling industry.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of forklift mechanics, electrics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and approachable attitude.
  • Full UK driving license (company van provided).
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work in various locations and handle a variety of tasks.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience with a wide range of forklift models and manufacturers.
  • Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience.
