Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a skilled Resistance Welding Technician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining resistance welding machines to produce high-quality welds on a variety of materials. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
What youll do:
- Set up, adjust, and operate resistance welding equipment
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
- Inspect welded joints for conformance to specifications using visual and mechanical inspection techniques.
- Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make necessary adjustments to machines.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize welding processes.
- Maintain detailed records of machine settings, maintenance logs, and production output.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
What you bring:
- Proven experience with resistance welding techniques, especially in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair welding equipment.
- Familiarity with various welding standards and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, heat, and metal particulates.

Hours of work will be 39 hours per week working 2-week rota shift pattern -
Shift 1 Monday -Thursday 6am -2pm and Friday 6am-1pm
Shift 2 Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm and Friday 1pm-8pm
Hourly pay rate £11.44- £12.50, you will also be entitled to 22% shift allowance.
