The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified Primary Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a mixed-ability class, planning and delivering engaging lessons, and contributing to the broader life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching in a similar role or covering maternity leave.
  • Specialism or interest in a particular subject area.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology.
