Science Teacher

Duties:

- Teach Science to key stage 3 - 4

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the GCSE curriculum

- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts

- Provide individual instruction and support to students

- Utilise effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement and participation

- Assess & Monitor student progress

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities

- Provide guidance and mentoring to students interested in pursuing scientific research

- Utilize behaviour management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment

Requirements:

- QTS

- Proven experience teaching Science at the middle or high school level

- Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts across various disciplines

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to effectively proofread and provide feedback on student work

- Experience with tutoring or mentoring students is highly desirable
