A Steel Operative is required for a multi-national steel processing company based in West Bromwich. Operating overhead cranes to move steel around the workplace, feeding the machine lines and loading/unloading vehicles for dispatch. You will be using the coil crane to handle steel coils, using the c-hook attachment.
Duties of the role include;
- Operating overhead cranes to handle steel coils
- Using crane attachments including c-hooks
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
- Helping to load and unload machines
- Loading and unloading vehicles for delivery
- Any other duties as and when required
You will be working on a rotating shift pattern of;
- Monday - Friday 6am - 4pm (1pm finish Fridays)
- Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am
This role will be;
- Working on a temp-to-perm basis with long term opportunities
- Weekly pay whilst on the agency
- Paying 13.42 on the day shift & 15.25 on the night shift
