- Setup of machines at the start of each shift, or whenever changing projects, to ensure the products will have the right thickness and shape without defects.
- Determine setup specifications, product dimensions, installation procedures and work sequences by reviewing schedules and rolling orders daily.
- Read drawings to determine the specifications of the current project.
- Feed metal through the rolling machine to aid in the flattening of the materials.
- Use special equipment, such as guards, cooling equipment, gears, and guides, onto the rolling machines as needed to maintain health and safety standards.
- Inspect materials as they come out of the rolling machine to make sure the products meet specifications.
- Assist in the inspection and maintenance of the equipment to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
- Keep accurate records.
- We need someone who is a team player with an open mind, a good work ethic, willing to get stuck in & bring knowledge to the company.
- You will need to have good organisational skills & work well under pressure.
- Most importantly you will need to work safely, in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
- A FLT License & Overhead Crane License would be advantageous.
