Employing over 60 service engineers and fabricators from their sites nationwide, They manufacture specialist and standard overhead cranes for some of the world’s largest companies in aerospace, steel manufacturing and critical infrastructure sites such as power and water.Due to the continued growth of sales of our clients products, they are seeking time served Welder Fabricators to work at their Oldbury depot to fabricate all types of overhead cranes, gantries and lifting equipment. You will be a time served welder fabricator with experience working in an industrial environment, carrying out MIG welding and large scale metal fabrication to a high standard. Particular experience of building overhead cranes or box girders is beneficial but not criticalWelder Fabricator - The Rewards

Welder Fabricator - Requirements

• Competent in using thermal cutting techniques.
• Understanding of fabrication skills and techniques, for various metal types.
• Understanding and ability to read fabrication drawings · Fabricating and welding experience in a similar role.
• Competent multi-disciplined welder, i.e. MIG/MAG, FCAW, stick & MMA
• Coded welders to BSEN287 or similar are preferable, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Ability to handle heavier components with mechanical aids/cranes (valid crane operator licence is preferable).
• Perform tasks in varied environments, predominately workshop/workbench based, however elements of working outside, working at height and /or in confined spaces may be required.
• Safe operation of lifting equipment, cranes, and slinging of items.
• Safe and efficient operation of hand tooling, power tools and other machines.
• Ability to adhere to good housekeeping practices and maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work area.
• Ability to adhere to all company policies, including Health and Safety and PPE
• A positive attitude towards health and safety
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company
• Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a small team
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to overcome technical challenges.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as per business requirements.
• You must be physically fit and able to work at heights
