JOB- Logistics Manager
LOCATION- Surrey
TERM- Permanent candidates only
SALARY- £40,000 - £45,000 and other great benefits

We are looking for a Logistics Manager on a permanent basis in the Surrey area to manage the Logistics team and plan, organise and track all shipments coming in from suppliers and out to customers.

The Logistics Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • 2+ years logistics management experience
  • Ability to work in structured & methodical manner
  • Good IT skills - Excel spreadsheets
  • Experience in high end working stores environment
  • High accuracy & attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Forklift license beneficial

The Logistics Manager role will involve:

  • Oversee warehouse operation ensuring health & safety procedures are adhered to
  • Implementing operational procedures and policies
  • Work closely with Production planning and material handlers to deliver OTIF level targets agreed
  • Maintain oversight of the stores area, including external yard area, finished goods warehouse and raw material stores
  • Check and sign off transport invoices
  • Responsible for improving stock holding efficiency through increased stock turns
  • Checking of incoming materials and storage by stock location
  • Maintenance of accurate stock records
  • To work with the warehouse team to ensure holiday and sickness cover
  • Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, Production Planner and Production Manager to achieve our aim for 100% on time delivery to our customers
  • Participate in and actively promote the company's CIP (continuous improvement program) looking for ways to continually improve the way we work and to reduce waste
  • Accountable for monitoring, setting & maintaining stock re-order levels
