JOB – Logistics Manager LOCATION – West Byfleet, SurreyTERM- PermanentSALARY – £40,000 - £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience)We are looking for a Logistics Manager on a permanent basis in the West Byfleet, Surrey area with experience in the Manufacturing, Engineering or warehousing industry. Your main duties will include implementing a new logistics system including liaising with 3rd party suppliers and managing the inhouse logistics processes across the business.The Logistics Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Qualified in a relevant Logistics / Manufacturing Degree or qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience within a logistics position for a similar industry.
  • Good knowledge of various logistics planning and management responsibilities / tools.
  • Capable of improving the efficiency of warehousing and logistics operation.
  • Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as team
  • Exposure to electronics production – very advantageous.
The Logistics Manager role will involve:
  • Take ownership of the Logistics metrics and data.
  • Plan the weekly operation of the logistics side of the business.
  • Oversee warehousing and management of stock.
