ARC is currently looking for a Pipe Welder in Wissington for ongoing work.

 


Scope of Work: Pipe Welder (Internal Code: W0012)

Position Overview: The Pipe Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on stainless steel and carbon steel pipes using TIG, MIG, and Arc welding techniques. The primary focus will be on stainless steel materials, with occasional work on carbon steel. The welder must be capable of performing in-situ welding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG, MIG, and Arc welding on stainless steel pipes ranging from DIN 15 to DIN 1000 with wall thicknesses between 2mm to 10mm.
  • Weld carbon steel pipes ranging from DIN 25 to DIN 400 with wall thicknesses between 2mm to 9mm.
  • Conduct in-situ welding operations, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards in various working environments.
  • Ensure all welds meet the required standards and are completed to a high level of precision.
  • Prepare and align pipes prior to welding, ensuring accuracy in measurements and cuts.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds and rectify any defects.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment (TIG, MIG, Arc) in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Work closely with the site supervisor to ensure timely completion of welding tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Coded welder, certified to relevant industry standards for TIG, MIG, and Arc welding on both stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Proven experience in pipe welding, particularly with stainless steel.
  • Capable of performing in-situ welding operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
