Following recent internal changes, a new position for a Management Accountant (which could be classed as a stand alone Finance Manager) has arisen to provide support to the Head of Finance. About the JobAs a Management Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Head of Finance, providing key insights and ensuring accuracy in financial close, budgeting, and forecasting. This role is essential for developing processes to understand current and future business performance.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing month-end processes, including journal entries for revenue and payroll, and preparing monthly management accounts.
- Preparing and analysing the monthly group reporting pack and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting, partnering with Sales and Engineering and Tech teams to enhance accuracy.
- Developing and presenting financial reports with a focus on KPIs and performance recommendations.
- Managing the sales ledger, supporting contract management and invoicing processes.
- Handling payroll data analysis, including commission calculations.
- Overseeing IFRS16 operating lease accounting and participating in annual audits.
- Working with departments to improve financial processes and ensuring data flow accuracy.
The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a strong background in financial reporting and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, a detail-oriented approach, and effective communication with non-financial stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
