Leading organisation has an opening for a for an Assistant Accountant who has either some previous accounting experience, ideally payable experience. This is a great role for someone looking to progress and take professional accounting exams (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) within a Blue-Chip organisation that provides training and will support your studies. The role is responsible for:

  • Purchase orders, statements of work and invoice processing, payments and oversight
  • Dealing with supplier enquiries
  • Cash and bank reconciliations
  • Inter-group recharges
  • You will also have the chance to assist with the production VAT returns, management accounts and the annual budgeting process.

Key skills required are a knowledge of basic accountancy/purchase ledger, strong Excel skills, good communication skills (oral and written) and enthusiasm and drive to produce high quality work and for continued learning. You'll have some prior experience of working in an accounts department and you MUST have strong numeracy skills, as these will be tested at interview. You will need to be either a driver or to live close to West Drayton as my client is not easily accessible on public transport.
