Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Airfreight Assistant for a well-established niche sector Freight company based in the West Drayton area.
We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven, team-oriented Air Freight Assistant to join our Operations Team to help us extend our success in the UK.
You will be responsible for supporting our team in the coordination of shipments & customs related operations. This entry level position is a great first step into the complex and challenging world of international art logistics. You'll be confronted to the technicality of the service we provide while learning how to organise you work.
Duties:-
- Quoting/Invoicing: Preparing data sets in Excel to assist team in preparing rate cards. Assisting with invoicing queries from clients
- Collection / Packing Specification: Send confirmation of collection and provide packing advice for shipments. Creating job sheets for clear warehouse instructions on how to process each shipment.
- Booking shipments: Entering information onto internal systems to register new bookings. Send pre-alert notifications to DHL/FedEx for any booked shipments.
- Customs: Handle system entries and provide any necessary information to transport suppliers to facilitate customs clearance.
- Tracking: Monitor FedEx and DHL tracking to ensure shipments clear customs and are delivered. Send tracking information for efficient shipment monitoring.
- Warehouse Operations: Label freight in the warehouse to ensure proper identification.
Your profile:-
- A shown interest in international logistics and / or the art market as a whole.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to learn everything from scratch in order to gain autonomy and grow with us, long term.
