The Role:

Our client, a premier provider of advanced injection-molded packaging solutions for consumer goods, healthcare, and industrial sectors worldwide are seeking Automation Technicians to join their dynamic and progressive team. The ideal candidate would contribute to the smooth operation of the production area by verifying the setup and optimal functioning of automation equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues in complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and machinery using digital multi-meters and machine documentation, mechanical drawings, and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Enhances and maintains the operational efficiency of all existing automation equipment.
  • Supports production start-ups and changeovers involving automation equipment, such as leveling and squaring automation and robot heads, aligning mechanical components, transferring automation between presses, adjusting strokes, and replacing robot heads and related mechanical components.
  • Learns to initiate automation, adjust moving axis points, and perform minor programming alterations on various types of robots and equipment.
  • Repairs or replaces mechanical and electrical components as needed.
  • Assists engineering and other departments in implementing and installing new projects.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability to acquire knowledge of injection molding equipment, assembly processes, auxiliary equipment, decorating equipment, robots, and automation systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex servo-driven systems and vacuum circuits, and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled machines is advantageous.
