Leading financial services business has an opening for a for an AP officer with either a relevant qualification or degree, or some previous accounts payable experience. This is a good starter role for a graduate looking to join a Blue-Chip organisation that provides training and will support your studies. The role is responsible for:

  • Purchase order, statements of work and invoice processing, payments and oversight
  • Dealing with supplier enquiries
  • Cash and bank reconciliations
  • Inter-group recharges
  • You will also have the chance to assist with the production VAT returns, management accounts and the annual budgeting process.

Key skills required are a knowledge of basic accountancy/purchase ledger, strong Excel skills, good communication skills (oral and written) and enthusiasm and drive to produce high quality work and for continued learning. Though not essential, ideally you may be an AAT studier and/or have some prior experience of working in an accounts department. You must have strong numeracy skills, and these will be tested at interview, and an eye for detail along with a 'right first time' attitude. Please note this is a role where at least 4 days per week will be office-based, and you will need to be either a driver or to live close to West Drayton as my client is not easily accessible on public transport.
