Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time premises assistant with a “can do” attitude who is flexible, practical, pro-active, energetic, and diligent. You will support our existing teams in delivering excellent service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security of the trust buildings and grounds.
- Maintain and repair fittings, furniture, minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains, repairing door furniture.
- Maintenance and decoration of buildings, including painting interior and exterior areas.
- Operate heating systems for the site.
- Cleaning internal and external areas of the site.
- Porterage duties.
- Collect and assemble waste for collection.
- Clean windows and glazed areas in accordance with the Trust’s safety policy.
- Monitor works carried out by contractors and keep a log of any works carried out by yourself.
- Cover lettings, ensuring areas are returned in the same condition as they were let.
- Supervise and assist the cleaning team, ensuring efficient and required levels of service and cleanliness.
- Cover for the key holder as required.
- Support the Premises Team in monitoring the performance of contracted staff and report any concerns.
General:
- Maintain confidentiality in and outside the workplace.
- Support the implementation of academy policies.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Be aware of and understand safeguarding protocols and procedures.
- Attend and participate in meetings and training opportunities.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks/duties as required by The Trust.
Requirements:
- Flexibility in working hours, with the potential to start at 06.45am and end at 6.30pm.
- Some out-of-hours or additional working hours may be required.
- Ability to work across the Trust and deputise for the Head of Estates when necessary.
