Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager for their innovative Digital Twin programme. This pivotal role focusing on leading the implementation of digital solutions to enhance systems, driving us towards carbon neutrality by 2030. This is a unique opportunity for a professional passionate about sustainability and data-driven solutions.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the Digital Twin project from inception to execution, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Manage a £10M operational change programme for Borough collections systems, aligning with our carbon neutrality objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and optimisation of real-time data infrastructure to drive operational efficiency in waste services.
  • Collaborate with contractors, internal teams, Borough partners, and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage and optimise data processes including ingestion, transformation, and reporting across various systems and platforms.
  • Leverage data insights to model public engagement impacts on service performance, developing efficient, community-friendly waste management solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data security best practices and manage data access policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, data-centric projects, particularly in waste management, sustainability, or environmental sectors.
  • Strong experience with data systems design and implementation, including real-time monitoring and performance optimisation.
  • Proficiency in managing technical systems such as Data Lakes, ETL Pipelines, Microsoft Power BI, Azure SQL Databases, and IoT systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in change management and driving operational improvements through technology.
