Logistics Operations Manager
  • Annual Salary: £40k per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Location: West Drayton, UB7 postcode area
  • Job Type: Full-time (onsite)

Join a leading logistics services provider as their Logistics Operations Manager, leading a high performing team that creates and develops best practices tailored for each valuable customer. The company offers comprehensive global supply chain solutions aimed at reducing costs, improving customer satisfaction, reducing inventory investments, and customizing product delivery. This role is crucial in managing the entire operation of the company to serve their clients effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage daily Export/Import/Cross-trade freight forwarding operations including customs formalities for modalities - Air, Sea & Road Freight.
  • Lead the Import/Export team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Liaise with Warehouse team members, Handling agents, Transporters, Customs, Overseas Offices/Agents, Shipping lines & Airlines.
  • Proactively solve and support operational problems for all day-to-day jobs within the Operations department.
  • Manage invoicing procedures towards our customers.
  • Seek work efficiency improvements within the Operations department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Solid background experience in the freight forwarding industry (an added advantage if you have worked with a Logistics company previously).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Innovative, plan-ahead & team working attitude.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of work efficiency and accuracy.
  • Enjoy working in a team and can cooperate well with other team members.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent English: reading, writing, speaking, polite telephone manner, emails).
  • Commercial awareness, understanding of basic profit/loss.
