Transport Operations Manager required! My client is a leading UK logistics company, specialising in next-day and same-day delivery of air and sea freight. They are now looking for an Transport Operations Manager to join their friendly, dynamic team, playing a crucial role in managing and developing the team.
Transport Operations Manager - Responsibilities
- Managing a team of 6 people.
- Ensure full compliance from all drivers on use of the driver app.
- Ensure high % OTIF SLA (On time in Full).
- Manage and develop the team.
- Liaise and work with the customer liaison and warehouse teams.
- Ensure that the team are constantly trying to achieve the very best service, both actual and perceived.
- Manage budget, KPI performance targets and identifying opportunities to deliver change initiatives to improve performance and maximise profits.
- Oversee the coordination of the fleet, ensuring all deliveries and collections are made timely and cost effectively.
Transport Operations Manager - Requirements
- Strong background in team management/leadership
- Proven background in the transport and logistics industry
- Experience in successful people management
- Strong understanding of relevant compliance and legislation's in transport/logistics and health and safety
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Remuneration
- Monday - Friday working hours 7am-4pm/8am-5pm
- Salary - £55,000 - £58,000
- 25 days holiday
