Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a high level of organisation within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, transportation management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Objective: Oversee the overall warehouse environment and fulfilment operation, ensuring high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency are maintained across both Heathrow and Oxfordshire warehouses.

Primary Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

  • Supervise all warehouse activities (receiving, picking, packing, storage, and dispatch) at both Heathrow and Oxfordshire locations.Ensure the warehouse environment is organized, clean, and adheres to operational and safety standards.Oversee the inventory management process, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper rotation of goods.
  • Operational Discipline & Standards Enforcement:
  • Maintain and enforce warehouse discipline, including adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.Lead by example, ensuring all staff understand and follow the warehouse procedures for efficiency and safety.Implement and monitor warehouse-specific KPIs, including order accuracy, pick/pack efficiency, and dispatch timelines.Take corrective action if performance standards are not met, escalating issues to senior management if needed.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, motivate, and support the Operations team at both Heathrow and Oxfordshire, ensuring high levels of morale and productivity.Oversee training programs for new employees, ensuring they are well-versed in operational procedures, safety standards, and customer expectations.Address and resolve personnel issues or conflicts, working with the Operations & Logistics Supervisor if necessary.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Operations & Logistics Supervisor to ensure that warehouse activities align with courier export operations at Heathrow.Ensure smooth coordination between the warehouse and other departments (e.g., logistics, inventory, and procurement) to meet operational goals.Assist the Supervisor with staffing, shift scheduling, and workload distribution to ensure operational efficiency during peak periods.
  • Performance Reporting & Improvement:
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on warehouse operations, including stock levels, order accuracy, performance metrics, and any operational issues.Identify areas for improvement within the warehouse operations and collaborate with the Operations & Logistics Supervisor to implement changes.
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency:
  • Continuously assess warehouse operations and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Collaborate with the Operations & Logistics Supervisor to ensure the warehouse and export processes are fully aligned.

Address any fulfilment-related customer service issues, collaborating with the Supervisor to resolve any discrepancies in delivery times or order fulfilment
