My client, a leading company in the injection moulding industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a Pitman 12-hour shift pattern. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment where you’ll be key to ensuring the efficient running of machinery, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance engineer

  • Quickly remedy plant faults and defects to ensure machinery remains in serviceable order.
  • Proactively identify root causes of issues and suggest areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all work follows Engineering procedures, including LOTOTO and the Permit System.
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on all electrical and mechanical plant, following site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Report any critical equipment issues to Engineering management immediately to avoid downtime.
  • Complete all required paperwork and maintain accurate computerized records.
  • Follow all work instructions and ensure full compliance with company procedures.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while carrying out duties.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks within your capabilities to support the team.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – Maintenance Engineer

  • Electrical and mechanical engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing or injection moulding environment.
  • Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with assembly and moulding equipment (desired).
  • IEE 17th or 18th Edition certification (preferred).
  • PLC experience (preferred).
  • Air and pneumatics training (desired).
  • Strong knowledge of HSE processes and standards
