About the Company: Our client is a leading player in the supply of high-precision components. We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join thier dedicated team.

Job Description: As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for manufacturing injection mould tools from scratch as well as repairing, and maintaining high-quality injection mould tools as well as troubleshooting for production. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all tooling meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, repair, and modify injection moulding tools using a range of manual and CNC machinery.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on mould tools to ensure optimum performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling issues to minimise production downtime.
  • Work from technical drawings and CAD models to produce precise and accurate tooling.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the required safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to optimise tool performance and cycle times.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace.

Requirements:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Toolmaking, with a focus on injection moulding, a background in Press tools also considered
  • Proven experience in the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of injection mould tools.
  • Proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machining equipment.
  • Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
