About the role:
- Design and implement engaging music lessons aligned with the school curriculum
- Teach students how to play various instruments, fostering both individual and group skills.
- Organize and lead school concerts, recitals, and community performances to showcase student talents.
- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment that supports all students.
- Encourage students to express themselves through music, promoting creativity and confidence.
- Work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate music across different subjects and enhance overall learning.
- Provide guidance on vocal techniques and performance skills for choirs and individual singers.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Have experience working within a classroom
- DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
- Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
- Good knowledge of the Music Curriculum
- Marking and planning are compulsory with this role
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- A QTS or PGCE or Overseas equivalent to UK
