We are currently recruiting for a vibrant SEN School in West Drayton, who are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Schools’ mission is to empower students through tailored education and support, helping them achieve their full potential.

The School are recruiting for an experienced Music Teacher, to teach KS3 and KS4 students. You will be delivering engaging Music lessons to cater to the diverse needs of the students who have SEMH and may display some challenging behaviours.

This is a full-time, permanent role to start as soon as possible. The salary is equal to the main Teachers’ pay scale plus SEN points.

 

As a Music Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student development.
  • Foster a passion for Music and its applications in everyday life.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Music, ideally within a SEN context.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies to support students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles.
