We are seeking a dedicated Teacher/HLTA to provide 1:1 tuition at a co-educational Alternative Provision in Hillingdon. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching Maths and English to students aged 11-16, focusing on functional skills and GCSE preparation. The successful candidate will also be experienced in driving reading strategies for KS3 and KS4.

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide tailored 1:1 tuition to students in Maths and English, ensuring alignment with functional skills and GCSE requirements.
Implement effective reading strategies to enhance literacy skills at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate educational activities.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in teaching Maths and English, particularly at the functional skills or GCSE level.
Strong background in developing and implementing reading strategies for secondary education.
Ability to engage and motivate students who may have diverse educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications appropriate for a Teacher or HLTA role.
