Learning Support Assistant - West Drayton

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work within a wonderful SEND school located in the West Drayton area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to support children 1:1 with special needs to help them with all aspects of their development and you will be an important member of staff ensuring that all children receive tailored help as a Learning Support Assistant.

The Role:

  • Work with children 1:1 when needed to provide specialised support
  • A Learning Support Assistant requires you to work one-on-one or in a small group, supporting children with their education, behavioural and social development
  • Assisting Teachers to plan learning activities, prepare learning materials, complete records, and carry out administrative tasks
  • As a Learning Support Assistant you will be required to take photos while the student performs these tasks to upload as evidence into the system
  • Ensure everything is ready when students arrive the next morning from the afternoon prior

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people or SEND children in any capacity
  • You will need the ability to monitor each pupil's responses and adapt the learning activities to suit their needs
  • Have excellent verbal and written English skills
  • You must have an enhanced DBS or be willing to process a new one
  • Either live in Uxbridge or within a commutable distance
