Director for Strategy and Reform

BALPA’s Director for Strategy and Reform is responsible for coordinating BALPA’s modernisation and reform programme. Since BALPA’s General Secretary was elected in January 2024 and BALPA’s Executive President was elected in November 2023 BALPA has been going through a period of reform and modernisation. This has included launching an independent Culture Commission; launching work on BALPA’s governance, including re-writing BALPA’s Rule Book; launching a review of BALPA’s communications; a staff restructure; relaunching member research and an office modernisation programme.

We are looking for a temporary Director for Strategy and Reform to coordinate the different streams of work and assist the General Secretary and Directors in developing and implementing the strategy and reform and horizon scanning next steps for BALPA’s modernisation. 

BALPA’s Director for Strategy and Reform will be a member of BALPA’s Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) and play a leading role in BALPA’s modernisation programme.
