Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a new school in West Drayton, supporting students with autism. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, providing one-on-one support, implementing individual learning plans, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children with autism in classroom activities and during break times.
  • Implement strategies tailored to each student's needs to promote engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to support the development and well-being of students.
  • Assist with personal care needs if required, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Use PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools as appropriate to aid communication.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in SEN support or childcare.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward supporting children with additional needs.
  • Ability to start on 25th November.
