Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Year 1) | Harmondsworth | Immediate Start

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Harmondsworth. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 support for a bright, high-needs child in Year 1, currently attending on a part-time basis.

About the Role: Position: Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Year 1)Location: Harmondsworth, West LondonStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Full-time, temporary (with potential for long-term placement)Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Role Responsibilities:- Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with high needs in Year 1.- Assist in creating a calm and supportive learning environment for the child, who is bright but may become easily dysregulated- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop strategies to support the child's academic and emotional progress.- Implement behavior management strategies to help the child engage in their learning.- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation.

What We're Looking For:- Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly in a primary setting.- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.- An understanding of behavior management techniques.- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach.- A commitment to the child's development and wellbeing.
