Are you a passionate and creative art teacher looking to make a meaningful impact? Veritas are seeking a dedicated part-time Art Teacher to join our client's dynamic team. The client are a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) school catering to students with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging art lessons that inspire creativity and self-expression.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster individual talents while encouraging collaboration and teamwork.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
  • Collaborate with other staff to support students' overall development and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of autism, dyslexia, and ADHD.
  • A passion for the arts and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
