We are seeking a dedicated and qualified SENCo to join our team, with the opportunity to move from a temporary to a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to lead the development of our SEN provision, without taking on a senior leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategic development of SEN policy within the school.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the highest quality education and care.
  • Develop and train a team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), ensuring they are fully equipped to meet students' diverse needs.
  • Implement alternative and therapeutic interventions to aid student progression.

To be considered, you should demonstrate:

  • A solid understanding of working with children with special educational needs.
  • Prior experience in management or leading a team.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • An enthusiastic, positive, and energetic approach to problem-solving.
  • A friendly and professional attitude, with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full teaching qualification (QTS).
  • A recognised SENCo qualification.
  • A background in humanities (preferred but not essential).
