Working in a new independent school in the heart of West Drayton that caters to learners aged 5-11 with severe learning difficulties and Autism. This school passionately believes that every child has the right to maximise their potential, irrespective of their starting point in life.

Main tasks and jobs:

  • Plan fun and engaging sessions to maximise learner engagement.
  • Develop and implement Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) for students.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.
  • Monitor student progress and record progress.
  • Monitor and record learners' attendance.
  • Work with learners to develop their ability to self-regulate where needed.

Candidate profile:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching SEN children, particularly children with severe learning difficulties and autism.
  • Experience working with EQUALS curriculum would be beneficial.
  • Experience with non-linear developmental assessment frameworks (e.g. Routes for Learning, SCERTS) would be beneficial.
  • Passion for working with SEN children.
