We are seeking a dedicated Year 7 Nurture Teacher to join our team in the Hillingdon Borough. This role is crucial in raising standards of student progress and achievement within year 7 for all groups of students. The successful candidate will be accountable for student progress and development within the transition department and will serve as a role model of professionalism and good practice.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students in the transition department.
  • Plan cooperatively and work as a member of the team, sharing information, ideas, and expertise.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students, enabling them to make good progress.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies to support student development.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the transition department.
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in working with Year 7 students or similar age groups.
  • A strong understanding of the educational and social development of children.
  • Experience in or a desire to work with students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
