About the role:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
- Create detailed lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, ensuring a balanced approach to theory and practice.
- Foster a passion for food science and culinary skills through interactive lessons and exciting projects.
- Organize and maintain kitchen facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and well-prepared environment for practical lessons.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, offering guidance and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.
- Ensure all food preparation and cooking activities adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe learning environment.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Have experience working within a classroom
- DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
- Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
- Good subject knowledge of DT curriculum
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- A QTS or PGCE or overseas trained teacher to UK equivalent
- Marking and planning are compulsory with this role
