About the Company
Our client is a principal contractor specialising in cladding and faade remediation, known for delivering high-quality, technically challenging projects across London and the South East. With a solid pipeline of work heading into 2025, they are seeking a talented Design Manager to join their team and take charge of key projects in the new year.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design management process for projects valued up to 10M (package)
- Review and coordinate faade designs, working closely with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
- Act as the key liaison between the design team, site teams, and clients, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Identify and resolve design challenges, optimising project buildability and efficiency.
- Manage design schedules and ensure timely delivery of all design-related elements.
- Support tender and pre-construction activities where required.
- Ensure all designs meet the required safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Designer or Design Manager, ideally within the cladding, faade, or building envelope sectors.
- Strong understanding of faade design and construction processes, with a subcontractor-biased approach.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
