We're recruiting for an exciting role with an innovative London-based start-up dedicated to mitigating the environmental impact of the livestock industry. The company has developed a patented wearable device that significantly reduces cattle emissions, potentially slashing global greenhouse gas levels.

The Role
They are looking for a Senior Embedded/Firmware Engineer to join their hardware development team. Reporting to the Head of Hardware, you'll play a critical role in the design and optimization of firmware for cutting-edge wearable technology. You'll be responsible for creating efficient, low-power solutions using MCU and MPU systems, ensuring seamless communication between devices and cloud infrastructure via BLE and low-power radio.

This role will involve feature analysis, architecture design, unit testing, and firmware development for mass production, including collaboration with external software developers.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years in embedded systems development (C/C++)
  • Strong experience with ARM Cortex M processors
  • Expertise in wireless protocols (BLE, LoRa, Zigbee, etc.)
  • Network communication experience (UDP/TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT)
  • Experience with communication standards (I2C, SPI, RS232)
