Job Title: Lead Day Shift Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Building Services Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in Central London. This is a day shift, static role working for a leading FM service provider, responsible for overseeing a small on-site engineering team and ensuring the smooth running of all technical services across the building.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers on-site, ensuring PPM and reactive maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
Act as the first point of contact for technical issues and client liaison.
Maintain and manage electrical and mechanical systems, including lighting, power, HVAC, AHUs/FCUs, pumps, and plumbing.
Carry out hands-on maintenance duties as required and support the wider team.
Plan, delegate, and close out PPMs and reactive works, ensuring all documentation is completed.
Assist in the management of subcontractors and specialist service providers.
Conduct regular toolbox talks, team briefs, and site audits.
Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety standards and building compliance.
Support in client meetings, reporting on performance, and presenting solutions to issues.
Requirements:
Level 2/3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent).
18th Edition (if electrical bias) desirable.
Proven experience in a lead or supervisory engineering role in a commercial building environment.
Strong understanding of building services systems - both electrical and mechanical.
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team effectively.
Excellent communication, client-facing, and organisation skills.
